Jake Kagele, CIMA Managing Partner, Financial Advisor
Jake provides financial services for high net worth individuals, trusts, corporations, company retirement plans, foundations and endowments. Through Jake's combination of financial experience and education, he is able to truly achieve a tailored approach to investing by focusing on the core goals and interests of his clients.
Jake received his Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®) designation from Investment Management Consultants Association and in conjunction with The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in December of 2006. Jake earned IMCA’s Foundations and Endowments certificate in conjunction with The Wharton School in May 2008. Jake is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

Janet Baker, CFP® CDFA™ Senior Vice President, Financial Planner
Janet Holmes joined NOVA in 2009. She has over 20 years of experience in financial management and financial planning.
Janet is committed to helping busy people focus on their dreams and achieve their financial success. Having owned and operated a very successful small business, and having experienced the loss of loved ones unexpectedly, as well as a divorce, Janet knows first hand the importance of financial planning and is passionately committed to educating and serving her clients. Her areas of expertise include budgeting, survivor needs, education funding, investing and asset allocation, tax management, retirement planning, estate planning, cross border planning and divorce financial planning.
In 1983, Janet graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario, one of the world’s top ranking business schools. She also has a Certified Financial Planner® designation along with a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation.
Janet is a Board Member of the Financial Planning Association, Tucson Chapter and Divorce Recovery. She also teaches a class the second Monday of every month called Financial Life After Loss for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death or divorce and need help managing their finances. Jeff Daniels Vice President, Financial Advisor
Jeff Daniels joined NOVA Financial Services in June of 2010 and has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years. He is an active member in the Vail community and enjoys coaching his son's high school football team in his spare time.

Thomas M. Fischer Financial Advisor Tom Fischer joins us with more than 15 years of financial planning experience. He brings creative estate and business planning ideas together with solid investment strategies and innovative insurance solutions. These proven ideas bring clarity to the often complex task of accumulating and protecting wealth, as well as transferring that wealth onto the next generation in an orderly and efficient manner Tom will work with you and your clients to get a firm grasp of your goals and dreams. These goals and dreams will be woven into your financial plan; and Tom will act as a catalyst to get things done. Tom's primary measure of success is the fact that his planning implementation efforts allow his clients to spend less time worrying about their financial situation, and more time on what they love in life. His number one goal is ongoing client satisfaction and he understands the importance of communication. Through communication and long-term relationships he will adapt and mold your plans as your situation needs change. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Northern Arizona University. Born in Tucson, Tom is a native Arizonan and is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast. He currently resides in Mesa, Arizona along with his wife Sherri and two young sons Cole and Logan.

Victor G. DeNigris, AAMS® Financial Advisor
Vic DeNigris is a graduate from Fordham University with a degree in Finance and completed requirements for Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®). Vic worked over 30 years in commercial lending and retail banking and retired in 2002 as Vice President and Manager at Bank of America. After several years as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, he recently decided to take his knowledge and experience to the next level with NOVA Financial Services, where he can offer a variety of financial products and services customized to his clients' financial needs

Connie Velander, CDFA™ Financial Advisor Connie Velander is a Financial Advisor, as well as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Certified Special Needs Advisor. Connie relocated to Tucson in August of 2008 from Connecticut where she worked as a broker for Smith Barney. Her family has brought her back to Tucson where she attended High School and College. Through the years Connie has held positions in many diverse fields. She worked in business development for a start-up software company focused on the yachting industry as well as a paralegal for a real estate attorney. Connie is passionate about helping people achieve their goals financially and loves to teach others about finances.

Ron Wilson, ChFC, CLU Vice President, Financial Advisor
Ron has been providing financial guidance for over 37 years. Giving independent and objective advice to individuals in all facets of wealth management, he works with his clients to design investment portfolios, estate conversation, and planned giving strategies, as well as insurance and risk reduction alternatives. He has extensive experience in helping business owners and their families develop succession plans, executive compensation strategies and qualified retirement plans. Ron is active in educational study groups with professionals. He is a member of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona and past President of the Board of FPA/Financial Planning Association of Southern Arizona and the American Society of Financial Service Professionals. Involved in the community, he served as a College Associate of the Eller College of Business at the University of Arizona. His professional designations include Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), both granted by the prestigious American College. Ron also has been an adjunct professor for the American College, teaching financial service professionals the courses required for advanced accreditation in financial counseling. He has also earned a certification in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Susan Kaufman, MBA Vice President, Financial Advisor
With more than 31 years' experience as a financial advisor, Susan helps individuals and business owners develop plans for creating and keeping wealth. She provides guidance for accumulating assets, preserving capital, and reducing portfolio volatility. She concentrates on managing investment portfolios, and designing retirement and estate plans.Fluent in Spanish and French, Susan is a specialist with Foreign Nationals. She provides her NRA clients timely and strategic investment advice in order to meet goals for their US investment portfolios.During her career, Susan has worked for only two companies; Smith Barney (E.F.Hutton,-Shearson Lehman) and Wells Fargo Advisors (A.G.Edwards, Wachovia).Susan received her MBA from the University of Arizona and her B.A. in Psychology and French from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She has one daughter, Jennifer, a student in veterinary school. Her recreational activities include scuba diving, yoga and hiking.

Guillermo "Billy" Monge Investment Advisor - Se Habla Espanol International Director
Guillermo "Billy" Monge is regarded as a leading authority on international banking norms and has worked in the financial services industry for over fourteen years. A former investment officer and international banker for BBVA Compass, Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch, he is well versed in creating optimal financial value for individual, commercial and international clients and their myriad banking investment requirements in the United States and Mexico. He also holds a business degree with the University of Arizona Among various community and philanthropic activities, Mr. Monge has served on the Tucson Urban League and United Way of Santa Cruz County. He is married to the former Arlette Moreno and they are proud parents of two children in grade school. Mr. Monge is a sports enthusiast with a passion for golf and love of cooking for his family and friends.

Justin Pierce Financial Advisor
Justin Pierce is an investment adviser with extensive experience in social security planning, and is a subject matter expert in social security maximization. He began his career in financial services by serving federal employees in helping them understand their comprehensive federal benefit package, and also by providing them with sound financial and investment advice. After several years of helping federal employees plan for their future, he established his own private wealth management firm where he focused his efforts on comprehensive wealth management for select individuals in the private sector. Jerlynne Davis, ChFC® CLU® Insurance Professional Jerlynne has been providing financial advice and service to professionals and small business owners since 1986. She likes to help people reach their personal goals. Jerlynne believes that no matter what stage of life, it is important to plan for the future and take advantage of opportunities. Her professional designations include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). Respected by her professional colleagues, Jerlynne is a current member and past President of the Tucson chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and board member of NAIFA, State of Arizona. She is a current board member and past President of Southern Arizona’s Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). Duane Hartzler, CLU® FLMI® Insurance Professional Duane has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has been successful as an insurance company vice-president, a licensed agent, general agent and the president of Hartzler Insurance Services, Inc. He works with individuals and business owners, specializing in health insurance, health savings accounts, temporary and permanent life insurance, guaranteed annuities providing lifetime income, short and long term disability plans and long term care insuranceDuane has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Fort Hays State University. John Bredehoft, MSA® Insurance Professional John has been educating individuals and businesses for over 34 years. He completed 28 years in the Lutheran Teaching ministry as a teacher, counselor, coach and administrator, retiring in 2005. John then accepted a position with a local Third Party Administrator for Qualified Retirement Plans as Director of New Business, Client and Broker Relationships. During his tenure at Strategic Retirement Plan Dynamics, John assisted brokers and their clients with retirement plan design and administration. He also conducted employee education and enrollment meetings for a variety of businesses: mining companies, schools, medical labs, doctors, attorneys, 5 star restaurants and tribal entities. John is a graduate of Concordia University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Theology. In 1985, he completed his Master’s in School Administration from Pepperdine University. He is licensed in life insurance, health, disability income and long term care. Additionally, he is a Registered Investment Advisory Representative.

Frank J. Avitia Financial Advisor Tucson native close to 13 years in the business and I believe that your financial situation is not only important to you, but to your loved ones as well. I work very closely as part of a team to evaluate your investment, tax, insurance, and even estate plan with your current CPA or attorney to address any potential pitfalls in your overall plan.

Brittany Gomes Operations and Business Development Manager Brittany has over five years experience working in the financial industry as an office administrator and has extensive knowledge in client relationships and account services. She began as an intern at an independent Wachovia firm in 2005 and has been working in the financial industry ever since. She is a main point of contact for our clients and business partners, which includes account servicing and account opening, as well as seminars and presentations. She also organizes all of our marketing and schedules any upcoming events. Brittany received her degree from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management, with a Major in Business Administration and specialty in Marketing. She is also an associate board and committee member for the Tucson Boys and Girls Clubs, committee member for the Blair Charity Group, a member of Local First Arizona and a member of Eller College Alumni Associates.
